As soon as October 31st passes and our month long goal to think up the cleverest costume (or skimpiest, eeh) has passed, our desires quickly shift to finding the most amazing or glitzy or elegant or most festive winter wardrobe (wait, it isn't even winter yet?). Either way, before those frustratingly freezing temps take over Manhattan, I am always so inspired by the familiar and hopeful vibe of the holidays. This is obviously more important to me, especially the extra amount of concentration that goes into thinking about the people I love (see my MANY future gift ideas) than my wardrobe (most of the time........) but the simple fact remains: when look good, you feel good, ergo, you make others feel good. And voila: a skewed but arguable equation to the spirit of giving. So unless you're the complete opposite of me and did your holiday shopping in July, lets start with YOU (+ some swoon-worthy, affordable duds) before we move on to shopping for our lucky loved ones : ) Thanksgiving outfit anyone, (think: comfy/sexy/easy dress for fancy casual dinner) that will only require a fifth of your paycheck? I'm already envisioning the bajillon outfits i'll wear these heels with post turkey (holi)day.....
